Advances in CAAD and CAAM are reshaping both the products and the occupation of architecture. with these new technologies the traditional tasks that the architect undertakes are changing, and the possibilities are expanding. The traditional act of designing is being augmented with new complexity and efficiency as brought by the computer. the computer also brings a new interface to the method for "output", allowing the architect to directly control the fabrication technology from thier design data. Through the conceptual link between the data that defines the design, and the data that drives production machines, the architect is able to optimize the overall processes of a project.
