Le ProjetLe Projet is an American hard rock band from Los Angeles, California; Atlanta, Georgia; and Staten Island, New York. The band features lead vocalist Kevin Martin, guitarist Brian Quinn & bassist Adam Kury from the band Candlebox, guitarist Lenny Cerzosie from the band The Infinite Staircase, and drummer Morgan Rose from the band Sevendust. The initial concept for this project began in 2013 when Martin, Rose and Cerzosie released a single to benefit victims of Hurricane Sandy called "The Pride" with Cerzosie's band The Infinite Staircase.
Projet MontréalProjet Montréal (officially Projet Montréal - Équipe Valérie Plante) is a progressive, environmentalist municipal political party in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Founded in 2004, it is led by Valérie Plante, and holds a majority of seats on Montreal City Council. Projet Montréal was created by environmental activists in May 2004. Richard Bergeron was the party's first mayoral candidate. He was elected to the City Council in 2005 and gathered 8.53% of the vote for Mayor.
Tunnel de la mort"Tunnel de la mort" (Tunnel of Death) is the informal name given, in Montreal, to the notoriously dangerous intersection of Rue d'Iberville and Boulevard Saint-Joseph, at the border of the Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie and Plateau-Mont-Royal boroughs. The intersection owes this name to the dangerously poor visibility caused by the three railway overpasses immediately to the north, east, and west of it, and by concrete retaining walls on all four corners. More than 250 serious accidents were reported at that intersection between 1992 and 2002.
René BoylesveRené Boylesve (14 April 1867 in La Haye-Descartes – 14 January 1926 in Paris), born René Marie Auguste Tardiveau, was a French writer and a literary critic. Boylesve was orphaned early and went to school in Poitiers and Tours. In 1895 he began to publish articles in various journals. He is considered the heir of Honoré de Balzac and precursor of Marcel Proust. In 1919 he was inducted into the Académie française.
Charles François Antoine MorrenCharles François Antoine Morren (3 March 1807 in Ghent – 17 December 1858 in Liège), was a Belgian botanist and horticulturist, and Director of the Jardin botanique de l’Université de Liège. Morren taught physics at Ghent University between 1831 and 1835. At the same time he studied medicine and graduated in 1835. He became Professor extraordinarius of botany at the University of Liège from 1835 to 1837, and full professor from 1837 to 1854. Pollination of Vanilla orchids is required to make the plants produce the pods from which vanilla extract is obtained.
Oliver Beer (artist)Oliver Beer (born 1985) is a British artist who lives and works in Kent and Paris. He graduated in 2009 from the Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art, University of Oxford, England and in 2007 from the Academy of Contemporary Music in England. Beer's background in both music and fine art led to an early interest in the relationship between sound and space, particularly the voice and architecture.
Fairy Rock (Crans Montana, Valais)The ruins of the rock castle called Fairy Rock (Rocher des Fées) are located in the municipality of Crans-Montana, Valais, Switzerland, between Mollens and Aminona, more precisely in a rock face at the hamlet Les Echerts. The ruins are rather well preserved, and can be easily admired from nearby. Due to its location in the rock, however, accessing the inside is difficult. The rock castle was built at the end of the 12th century, and was probably used as a refuge during the wars and raids of that period.
Paul PouletPaul Poulet (1887–1946) was a self-taught Belgian mathematician who made several important contributions to number theory, including the discovery of sociable numbers in 1918. He is also remembered for calculating the pseudoprimes to base two, first up to 50 million in 1926, then up to 100 million in 1938. These are now often called Poulet numbers in his honour (they are also known as Fermatians or Sarrus numbers). In 1925, he published forty-three new multiperfect numbers, including the first two known octo-perfect numbers.
Montana, SwitzerlandMontana is a former municipality in the district of Sierre in the canton of Valais, Switzerland. It was one of the six municipalities that form the ski resort Crans-Montana (together with Icogne, Lens, Randogne, Mollens and Chermignon). On 1 January 2017 the former municipalities of Chermignon, Mollens (VS), Montana and Randogne merged to form the new municipality of Crans-Montana. Montana is first mentioned in 1243 as Montana. In 1905 it separated from Lens to form an independent municipality.
Igor AntićIgor Antić (born in 1962 in Novi Sad) is a French-Serbian visual artist. Igor Antić was born in Novi Sad (Serbia) in 1962. After studies at the Novi Sad Academy of Fine Arts, Antić attended the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts and the Institut des Hautes Études en Arts Plastiques in Paris. In 1995, during the war in former Yugoslavia he founded the Pokret Encounter Centre in Novi Sad. In 2000, he got The Pollock - Krasner Foundation's Grant in New York. In 2004, he was the curator of the 11th Biennial of visual arts Values in Pancevo, Serbia.
