Raymond BourgineRaymond Bourgine (9 March 1925 – 29 November 1990) was a French journalist and politician. He served as editor-in-chief of Valeurs Actuelles from 1966 to 1990 and as French Senator from 1977 to 1990. Raymond Bourgine was born on March 9, 1925, in Diégo-Suarez, Madagascar. He grew up in the Réunion and Madagascar, and joined the French Army in Africa during the Second World War. In 1945, Bourgine started writing for Paris-Matin, followed by La Vie française in 1946 and Aux Écoutes de la Finance in 1947, before becoming its editor-in-chief in 1948.

MV Edmund GardnerMV Edmund Gardner is a retired pilot cutter built for the Liverpool Pilot Service after the Second World War. She was decommissioned after nearly 30 years service converted to a museum ship as part of the Merseyside Maritime Museum. Edmund Gardner was ordered by the Mersey Docks and Harbour Board in July 1951 as a replacement for the pre-war steam powered cutters which were nearing the end of their usefulness. Edmund Gardner (cutter no.2) was one of three such vessels, and was/each being named for a past chairman of the board.

She is from the Ait Sadden tribe, a Middle Atlas Berber tribe. Chafik studied at Montreal University (Master & Ph.D) and she taught (as "Chargée de cours") in the same university during two years. Her principal academic works are: "Être romancière au Maghreb" (1988) and Une autre lecture du Maghreb à travers l'art scriptural et pictural français du 19e siècle (1998).
Est: Playing the Gameest: Playing the Game the New Way is a non-fiction book by Carl Frederick, first published in 1976, by Delacorte Press, New York. The book describes in words the basic message of Werner Erhard's Erhard Seminars Training (est) theatrical experience. Erhard/est sued in federal court in the United States to stop the book from publication, but the suit failed. The book takes a 'trainer's' approach to the est experience, in that it essentially duplicates the est training, citing examples and using jargon from the actual experience.
