Galen JohnsonGalen A. Johnson (born 1948) is a professor emeritus of philosophy at the University of Rhode Island and the General Secretary of the International Merleau-Ponty Circle. Johnson received his Ph.D. in Philosophy from Boston University in 1977. He has been teaching at the University of Rhode Island since 1976. His research interests include phenomenology, aesthetics, American philosophy, and recent French philosophy.

Jean ClamJean Clam (born 1958) is a philosopher, sociologist and psychologist. He is Research Fellow at the Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS), Paris, presently affiliated to the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) in Paris. His numerous researches deal mainly with sociology and psychology of intimacy, legal theory (in particular that of Niklas Luhmann) and general theory of the human and social sciences. Maison Joseph-GauvreauMaison Joseph-Gauvreau is a heritage building located in Rimouski, in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region of Quebec. Constructed in 1906 and 1907 for Dr. Joseph Gauvreau, this eclectic-style bourgeois home served as his principal residence, as well as housing his medical practice and hydrotherapy clinic, whose fame spread throughout Quebec. Gauvreau was also one of the pioneers of hygiene and preventive medicine in Quebec. The amputation of one of his arms in 1909 forced him to give up medical practice and relocate to Montreal.

An École normale supérieure de Saint-Cloud alumnus, he is Chair of Contemporary Philosophy in the University of Paris 1, Sorbonne. A phenomenologist, Barbaras' works have primarily focused on the philosophies of Edmund Husserl and Maurice Merleau-Ponty. More recently, his readings of Czech philosopher Jan Patočka have influenced him into conceiving a phenomenology of life and accordingly, a cosmology in which man's place is to be thought anew.

Thorbjørn EgnerThorbjørn Egner (12 December 1912 – 24 December 1990) was a Norwegian playwright, songwriter and illustrator known principally for his books, plays and musicals for children. He is principally associated with his narratives for children including Karius og Baktus (1949) and Folk og røvere i Kardemomme by (1955). He grew up in the working-class neighbourhood Kampen in Oslo, Norway. His parents were Magnus Egner (1872–1952) and Anna Hansen (1874–1957).
