Convenience samplingConvenience sampling (also known as grab sampling, accidental sampling, or opportunity sampling) is a type of non-probability sampling that involves the sample being drawn from that part of the population that is close to hand. This type of sampling is most useful for pilot testing. Convenience sampling is not often recommended for research due to the possibility of sampling error and lack of representation of the population. But it can be handy depending on the situation. In some situations, convenience sampling is the only possible option.

It was developed in 1927 by the British astrophysicist Arthur Eddington, and is an unsolved general physics question. Euler's continued fraction formulaIn the analytic theory of continued fractions, Euler's continued fraction formula is an identity connecting a certain very general infinite series with an infinite continued fraction. First published in 1748, it was at first regarded as a simple identity connecting a finite sum with a finite continued fraction in such a way that the extension to the infinite case was immediately apparent. Today it is more fully appreciated as a useful tool in analytic attacks on the general convergence problem for infinite continued fractions with complex elements.
Gelfond's constantIn mathematics, Gelfond's constant, named after Aleksandr Gelfond, is e^π, that is, e raised to the power pi. Like both e and pi, this constant is a transcendental number. This was first established by Gelfond and may now be considered as an application of the Gelfond–Schneider theorem, noting that where i is the imaginary unit. Since −i is algebraic but not rational, e^π is transcendental. The constant was mentioned in Hilbert's seventh problem. A related constant is 2^, known as the Gelfond–Schneider constant.
