Federico RampiniFederico Rampini (born 25 March 1956) is an Italian journalist, writer, and lecturer who holds both Italian and American citizenship. He served as deputy editor of Il Sole 24 Ore, and has worked as chief foreign correspondent for La Repubblica since 1997. He has been residing in the United States since 2000. He is the 2019 recipient of the Ernest Hemingway Prize. Rampini was born in Genoa, Italy, on 25 March 1956, and was raised in Brussels due to his father's work at the European Commission.
Livio MelinaLivio Melina (born August 18, 1952 in Adria, Italy) is a priest of the Catholic Church and an Italian theologian. Livio Melina was born in Adria in 1952. Since high school, he has been a member of the ecclesial Communion and Liberation movement and was one of its initiators in Veneto. Melina completed a degree in philosophy at the University of Padua in 1975, and then entered the seminary of the diocese of Adria. He was ordained a priest on June 21, 1980.

During the period of radical and experimental architecture he was a prominent figure in movements such as Cavart, Studio Alchimia and Memphis. De Lucchi has designed lamps and furniture for well-known Italian and European companies, such as Artemide, Olivetti, Alias, Unifor, Hermès and Alessi.
Girolamo RuscelliGirolamo Ruscelli (1518–1566) was an Italian Mathematician and Cartographer active in Venice during the early 16th century. He was also an alchemist, writing pseudonymously as Alessio Piemontese. Girolamo Ruscelli was born in Viterbo (from a family described by different sources as of humble origins, of minor nobility, or notaries), probably in 1518, although in many texts list the year of birth as 1504. He lived in Aquilea, then in Padua, and later in Rome where in 1541 he founded the "Accademia dello Sdegno".

Carlo FrancovichCarlo Francovich (16 June 1910 - 25 December 1990) was an Italian politician, partisan and literary historian. He was born in Fiume or Gorizia, though after the First World War his family moved to Florence, where he attended secondary school. He graduated in literature from the University of Florence in 1934 alongside Guido Mazzoni and the following year began teaching in state schools. In the meantime he joined the liberal-socialist movement and was one of the founder members of the Partito d'Azione (PdA).
Henry MackenzieHenry Mackenzie FRSE (August 1745 – 14 January 1831, born and died in Edinburgh) was a Scottish lawyer, novelist and writer sometimes seen as the Addison of the North. While remembered mostly as an author, his main income came from legal roles, which led in 1804–1831 to a lucrative post as Comptroller of Taxes for Scotland, whose possession allowing him to follow his interest in writing. Mackenzie was born at Liberton Wynd in Edinburgh on 26 July 1745.
Franco FortiniFranco Fortini was the pseudonym of Franco Lattes (10 September 1917 – 28 November 1994), an Italian poet, writer, translator, essayist, literary critic and Marxist intellectual. Franco Fortini was born in Florence, the son of a Jewish lawyer, Dino Lattes, and a Catholic mother, Emma Fortini Del Giglio. He studied law and humanities at the University. In 1939 he joined the Protestant church, but in his late years he described himself as an atheist. In 1940 he adopted his mother's last name to avoid racial persecution.
