Piergiorgio ColauttiPiergiorgio Colautti (16 October 1934 – 13 December 2020 Rome, Kingdom of Italy) was a modern Italian painter and sculptor, who lived and worked in Rome. He is known for his own distinctive style, sometimes labelled "Hyperfuturism", in which figurative elements are enmeshed and submerged by symbols reflecting a cold and modern technological world. Piergiorgio (Pio Giorgio) Colautti was born in a family of sculptors. When the Second World War began, he moved to Veneto where he attended school of design, worked and socialized with the greatest Venetian painters.
Italian National Road Race ChampionshipsThe Italian National Road Race Championships are a road cycling race held annually, which decides the Italian cycling champion in the road racing discipline, across several categories of rider. The event was officially first held in 1906 (won by Giovanni Cuniolo), having been held unofficially since 1885. At the beginning there were often back-to-back wins from many riders. Costante Girardengo won the event nine times between 1913 and 1925, either side of World War I, including seven consecutive wins between 1919 and 1925.
Antonio BuenoAntonio Bueno (21 July 1918 – 26 September 1984) was an Italian painter of Spanish origin, who acquired Italian citizenship in 1970. He was born in Berlin while his journalist father was posted there by the newspaper ABC of Madrid. Bueno undertook art studies in Spain and Switzerland. In 1937, he was in Paris, where he exhibited at the Salon des Jeunes; then in 1940 with his brother Xavier, he moved to Italy. After a post-impressionist experience, immediately after World War II he joined the school of Armenian artist Gregorio Sciltian, painting trompe-l'œil work.
Giampaolo PansaGiampaolo Pansa (1 October 1935 – 12 January 2020) was an Italian journalist-commentator and novelist, especially during his late years, a prolific author of books and essays. Most of his writings was rooted in recent or contemporary history, notably with regard to the antifascist resistance of the Mussolini years. Giampaolo Pansa was born and raised in Casale Monferrato, an industrial town by the Po river and located in the Province of Alessandria. His father Ernesto, the fifth of six children, grew up in poverty.

Gabriel AndreescuGabriel Andreescu is a Romanian human rights activist and political scientist born on 8 April 1952 in Buzău. He is one of the few Romanian dissidents who openly opposed Nicolae Ceaușescu and the Communist regime in Romania. At present, he is professor in the Department of Political Science at the National School for Political Studies and Public Administration (SNSPA) in Bucharest, and an active member of several Romanian human rights organizations.
