Sturm und DrangSturm und Drang (,Stʊəm_Unt_'dr{N,-'dra:N, ˈʃtʊʁm ʔʊnt ˈdʁaŋ; usually translated as "storm and stress") was a proto-Romantic movement in German literature and music that occurred between the late 1760s and early 1780s. Within the movement, individual subjectivity and, in particular, extremes of emotion were given free expression in reaction to the perceived constraints of rationalism imposed by the Enlightenment and associated aesthetic movements.
Peng ZuPeng Zu (彭祖, "Ancestor Peng") is a legendary long-lived figure in China. He supposedly lived 450 years in the Shang dynasty. Some legends say that one year was 60 days in ancient China; that made him more than 130 years old. Others say he was 400 years old. They are considered to be a subgenre of fūzokuga, "pictures of manners and customs." These types of art works reached the peak of their popularity in Japan in the mid- to late 19th century. Literally translatable as ‘faint (yū - 幽) spirit (rei - 霊),’ yūrei is just one of several Japanese words used to refer to spirit beings. Other terms include: obake (お化け), yōkai (妖怪), bōrei (亡霊), and shiryō (死霊).

Münster was born on 17 February 1776, in Langelage near Osnabrück. In 1800, he became a Prussian official in the principalities of Brandenburg-Ansbach and Brandenburg-Bayreuth. He formed a famous collection of fossils, which was ultimately secured by the Bavarian state, and formed the nucleus of the palaeontological museum at Munich.

Gustav zu PutlitzGustav Heinrich Gans Edler Herr zu Putlitz (20 March 1821 – 5 September 1890) was a German author. He was born at Retzin near Perleberg in West Prignitz, of the noble Gans zu Putlitz family. He studied law at Berlin and Heidelberg, and was attached to the provincial government at Magdeburg from 1846 to 1848. In 1853 he married Gräfin Elisabeth von Königsmark, and lived on his estate. In 1863, he became director of the Court Theatre at Schwerin.
