Emmanuel Trélat was admitted at École normale supérieure de Cachan (mathematics) in 1995 and obtained the agrégation in 1998. In 2000, he obtained a doctorate under the direction of Bernard Bonnard at the University of Burgundy at Dijon with thesis titled Étude asymptotique et transcendance de la fonction valeur en contrôle optimal; catégorie log-exp en géométrie sous-Riemannienne dans le cas Martinet (Asymptotic study and transcendence of the value function in optimal control; category log-exp in sub-Riemannian geometry in the Martinet case).
Li TaihuanLi Taihuan (Chinese: 李台还; born 1955) is a contemporary Chinese artist based in Beijing, China. Li Tai Huan was Art Consultant of the China contemporary art show at the Centre National d'art et de Culture Georges Pompidou in France in 2005. In the Nord Art 2012 exhibition at the Kunstwerk Carlsuhette in Germany featuring work of internationally acclaimed artists in the warehouse-style and open air spaces, his work was exhibited in the China Pavilion exhibition "Forms of the Formless" (Chinese: 无形之星形).

Adriaen de VriesAdriaen de Vries (c.1556–1626) was a Northern Mannerist sculptor born in the Netherlands but working in Central Europe, whose international style crossed the threshold to the Baroque; he excelled in refined modelling and bronze casting and in the manipulation of patina and became the most famous European sculptor of his generation. He also excelled in draughtsmanship. Partly as a result of the disturbances of the Thirty Years' War, and also changes in style, Adriaen de Vries had no direct follower.
Émile DanoënÉmile Danoën (10 January 1920 – 7 May 1999) was a French journalist and novelist. Danoën was born Émile Orvoën, to Pierre Orvoën and Léonie Le Doze at Moëlan-sur-Mer in Finistère, Brittany, but he grew up in the seamen's hostel run by his parents in the district of Saint-François in Le Havre. During the Second World War, he moved to Marseilles with his first wife Georgette, with whom he had two sons, Michael and Peter. He worked at the magazine Les Cahiers du Sud while at the same time appearing in bars and restaurants in the old port working as a street violinist.
Jean LartéguyJean Lartéguy (5 September 1920 in Maisons-Alfort – 23 February 2011) was the pen name of Jean Pierre Lucien Osty, a French writer, journalist, and former soldier. Larteguy is credited with first envisioning the "ticking time bomb" scenario of torture in his 1960 novel Les centurions. Lartéguy was born into what he called "one of those families of poor mountain peasants whose names are found inscribed on war memorials, but not in history books" in Maisons-Alfort, Val-de-Marne. Both his father and uncle had served in the First World War.
Petit train de la RhuneThe Petit train de la Rhune or (in Basque) Larrungo tren ttipia is a metre gauge rack railway in France at the western end of the Pyrenees, in the Basque Country. It links the Col de Saint-Ignace, some to the east of Saint-Jean-de-Luz, to the summit of the La Rhune mountain (Larrun). Although this summit lies on the border between France and Spain, the railway lies entirely within the French département of Pyrénées-Atlantiques.
