Polar ice bubbles are unique tools for the reconstruction of the composition of the Earth's atmosphere in the past. their analysis is a difficult task, which has been achieved by few laboratories in the world. These small bubbles have already highlighted the unprecedented impact of anthropogenic activity on this life-sustaining envelope, and demonstrated how well greenhouse gases parallel past climate changes.
