Abstract

The moisture content in concrete is a critical parameter for most of the degradation processes such as shrinkage and cracking. In this paper, we present the first kilometre-range thermo-hygrometer for monitoring the concrete curing.

The design begins by determining the requirements of the concrete. These requirements take into consideration the weather conditions that the concrete will be exposed to in service, and the required design strength.
