The Institute of Mechanical Genius (ATME) at EPFL is a center of expertise in 5-axis CNC machining and complex shapes. They offer services such as CNC turning and milling, 3D measurements, reverse engineering, Catia V5 and Solidworks design. ATME is a competence center of the STI faculty in 5-axis CNC machining, providing advantages like ease in machining 5-faced pieces, continuous machining, good surface finishes, and precise machining of complex parts in a single step. They also offer conventional milling, turning, drilling, and cylindrical grinding services, along with consultancy for feasibility studies, CAD/CAM, 3D measurements, and welding. Additionally, ATME provides training for apprentice polymechanics every two years, focusing on CNC machining and aiming for a CFC diploma with integrated technical maturity.
