The Section of Financial Engineering at EPFL offers a highly selective two-year Master program that provides students with academic excellence and high-quality education from renowned professors. Students in the program build competences in derivatives pricing, asset management, market design, and risk management, unlocking career opportunities in sectors such as banking, hedge funds, consulting firms, and fintech. The program fosters a multicultural environment, welcoming students from over 10 nationalities and diverse backgrounds including mathematics, engineering, physics, and computer science. In addition to compulsory foundation and advanced courses, students can choose elective courses to tailor the program to their career goals. The curriculum is completed with a 6-month internship in the financial industry, during which students write a master thesis under joint supervision. The program has a strong alumni network and organizes practitioner seminars to connect students with professionals in the financial industry.
