The EPFL Cultural Heritage & Innovation Center, formerly known as the Metamedia Center, focuses on digitizing and preserving audiovisual collections of significant cultural importance. Their main projects include the Montreux Jazz Digital Project and the digitization of Swiss astronaut Claude Nicollier's archives, aiming to make these collections available for education and research purposes. Through collaborations with EPFL laboratories, start-ups, and partners, the center enriches these collections and organizes research and innovation projects in various domains, such as technology, archiving, sociology, and art. The center's work extends beyond Switzerland, engaging with the international space community to highlight Claude Nicollier's trajectory and foster future collaborations in education and research.
