The Digital and Cognitive Musicology Lab (DCML) at EPFL explores music from cognitive, computational, musicological, and psychological perspectives. By combining modern algorithmic methods, corpus research, music-theoretical expertise, and experimental approaches, the lab conducts research in musical structure-building, musicological corpus research, cognitive foundations of music, and computational modeling. The lab collaborates with a global network of experts in musicology, artificial intelligence, and neuroscience to deepen researchers' understanding of musical structures using cutting-edge technology.
