Security, Safety and Facilities Operations Management

The Directorate of Security and Operation (DSE) at EPFL is responsible for ensuring safety, prevention, and health on campus. They provide support for mental and physical health issues, emergency response services, safety specialists for construction projects and events, as well as training programs in laboratory safety. Additionally, DSE collaborates with external organizations to promote health through initiatives like health screenings, blood donations, flu vaccinations, and shiatsu massages for students and staff. They also oversee safety measures in laboratories, including equipment evaluations, risk assessments, and audits, and provide guidance on handling hazardous materials and waste management. DSE plays a crucial role in maintaining a secure and healthy environment for the EPFL community.
