The Information, Learning and Physics Laboratory (IdePHICS) at EPFL focuses on studying problems in computer science, machine learning, statistics, and signal processing using mathematical tools, particularly ideas from theoretical statistical physics. The lab has made significant contributions to conferences like NeurIPS, ICML, and MSML, showcasing its expertise in these fields. Led by Prof. Florent Krzakala, IdePHICS boasts a diverse team of computer scientists and physicists, including post-docs, research staff, and PhD students. The lab is currently offering opportunities for postdoctoral fellows and PhD students to conduct research in statistics, machine learning, information theory, and statistical physics.
