ISIC - Gestion Valais is part of the Institute of Chemical Sciences and Engineering at EPFL, focusing on research areas such as Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Biology, Chemical Engineering, Computational Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, and Renewable Energy. The institute is known for its groundbreaking research in developing stable orally available cyclic peptides with higher bioavailability for drug development, as well as for advancements in perovskite solar cells with high power-conversion efficiency. Led by Prof. Nicolai Cramer, ISIC offers educational and research opportunities in chemical sciences and engineering, with activities in Lausanne and Sion. Research at ISIC spans from fundamental studies in theoretical chemistry and biochemistry to applications in devices and engineering, including the discovery of dye sensitized solar cells and innovative drugs and diagnostics.
