Laboratory of Environmental and Urban Economics

The Laboratory of Urban Economy and Environment (LEURE) at EPFL conducts research on public and private management of the natural and built environment. Their work focuses on advancing scientific knowledge in analyzing socio-economic mechanisms shaping environmental evolution, normative reflection on desirable environmental changes, and developing sustainable regulatory methods. LEURE's expertise lies in modeling and evaluating environmental policies, analyzing real estate markets and public policies, and teaching real estate estimation methods. They are actively involved in research projects related to climate change impacts, adaptation strategies, and economic consequences in Switzerland.
