The Physical Laboratory of High Energy (LPHE) at EPFL is specialized in particle physics, conducting research in collaboration with international partners. LPHE is actively involved in the LHCb experiment at CERN, focusing on CP violation studies, new particle searches, and rare decay processes. The laboratory's research activities require advancements in particle detection, signal processing electronics, and computing. LPHE offers teaching at all levels of university education, including specialized courses in elementary particle physics, nuclear physics, and particle detection techniques. The laboratory provides opportunities for Master's projects and doctoral assistant positions, allowing students to engage in both teaching and research activities within international collaborations.
