The Electromagnetic Compatibility Laboratory at EPFL, led by Prof. Farhad Rachidi, focuses on high power electromagnetics, lightning physics, and electromagnetic time reversal. Equipped with advanced facilities including a semi-anechoic chamber and a high voltage laboratory, the lab conducts research sponsored by various programs and collaborates with international research centers and universities. Research projects cover lightning electromagnetic effects, lightning protection, EMC aspects of power line communication, intentional electromagnetic interferences, and more. The lab's work is recognized through publications in prestigious journals and books, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the field of electromagnetic compatibility and lightning studies.
