The Group of SCI STI RC, also known as the Distributed Electrical Systems Laboratory - Power Systems group, focuses on developing smart grid concept solutions to efficiently deliver sustainable, economic, and secure electricity supply. Their research activities include power distribution, power transmission, energy storage, forecasting, and power systems trans forecasting of stochastic resources. Led by Professor Mario Paolone, the lab collaborates with various institutions on projects like CircuBAT to develop circular business models for lithium-ion batteries. Their work has been recognized with awards like the 2023 IEEE PowerTech - Basil C. Papadias award.
