The Faculty of Life Sciences at EPFL fosters education, research, and innovation at the interface of engineering and biology. With 58 research groups in 5 institutes, the School of Life Sciences operates at the forefront of biomedical science, offering Bachelor and Master programs in Life Sciences Engineering and Neuro-X. The School cultivates a climate of exploration and translation of knowledge and technologies to benefit humankind, with a focus on new therapeutics and vaccine approaches. The School also runs the EPFL Life Sciences Early Independent Research Scholar (ELISIR) program, providing exceptional early career scientists with the opportunity to lead independent research groups in any area of life sciences.
