Sivaganga

Sivaganga (siʋaɡəŋɡaɪ) is a city and headquarters of the Sivaganga district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The city is located at a distance of 48 km (30 mi) from Madurai and 449 km (279 mi) from the state capital Chennai. It is known for the 16th-century Sivagangai Fort, located in City Centre. Inside the fort, the Rajarajeshwari Amman Temple features many ornate sculptures. Nearby, the Government Museum has prehistoric relics and natural history displays. Sivaganga is administered by a municipality established in 1965.

Pudukkottai

Pudukkottai is the administrative headquarters of Pudukkottai District in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is a town located on the banks of the Vellar River. It has been ruled, at different times, by the mutharaiyar dynasty , Cholas, Early Pandyas, Thondaimans, and the British. It is situated about southwest of the state capital Chennai and about southeast of Tiruchirappalli. Tamil Nadu's first woman Asian Games competitor, Santhi Soundarajan, is from Pudukkottai.

Pattukkottai

Pattukkottai is a major town in Thanjavur district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu and also important town in Delta districts and Commercial town of Thanjavur, Thiruvarur and Pudukkottai district Coastal areas. The town came to prominence throughout Southern India after the construction of the fort by Vanaji Pandithar, a feudatory of the Thanjavur Maratha ruler Shahuji I in 1686–87. The recorded history of Pattukkottai is known from the 17th century and has been ruled, at different times, by the Thanjavur Marathas and the British.

Sengottai (also known as Shencottah, Chenkotta or Shenkottai) is a town in the Tenkasi district, of Tamil Nadu, India. It is the gateway to southern Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Nagapattinam ou Nagappattinam (anciennement Negapatam ou Shiva Rajadhani) est une ville sur la côte du Tamil Nadu, dans le sud de l'Inde. C'est le centre administratif du district de Nagapattinam. Nagapattinam est un ancien centre du bouddhisme. Le Chudamani Vihara, un monastère bouddhiste, y fut construit au sous les Cholas, à l'initiative du roi Maravijayottunggavarman de Shrîvijaya (Java) et l'aide de Rajaraja I. Le bouddhisme y prospéra jusqu'au et les bâtiments du vihara survécurent jusqu'au .

Tirunelveli

Tirunelveli (en திருநெல்வேலி, en तिरुनेल्वेली) ou Nellai (நெல்லை), autrefois Tinnevelly, est une grande ville du sud de l'Inde situé dans le district de Tirunelveli de l'État du Tamil Nadu. Sise sur les rives de la Tamraparni, la ville est historiquement divisée entre une ville-centre (Tirunelveli proprement-dite) articulée autour du temple de Nellaiappar, sur la rive gauche du fleuve, et une ville-jumelle autrefois fortifiée et militarisée appelée Palayamkottai, sur la rive droite.
