Vestlandet

Vestlandet est l’une des cinq grandes régions géographiques (Landsdel) de la Norvège. Il présente la façade sud-ouest atlantique du pays, correspond à l’ouest norvégien Situé au sud de la région du Trondelag, Vestlandet longe le versant occidental du massif des Scandes. La région, qui est une appellation géographique sans fonction officielle ni politique en soi, comprend les comtés (fylker) de Rogaland, Vestland et Møre og Romsdal. L'ensemble recense une population d'environ 1,4 million d'habitants.

Askøy

Askøy (« l'île aux Frênes ») est une kommune insulaire de Norvège située juste au nord de Bergen et dont le centre administratif est Kleppestø. L'île est reliée au continent par un pont suspendu, le pont d'Askøy construit en 1992. Askøy tire son nom du village Ask et de øy, qui signifie « île » en nynorsk. Askøy a donné son nom au voilier, l’Askøy II, avec lequel Jacques Brel quitta l'Europe pour les Caraïbes puis le Pacifique quand il décida de mettre un terme à sa carrière de chanteur. vignette|gauche|Image satellite d'Askøy.

Vaksdal

is a municipality in the county of Vestland, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Nordhordland. The administrative centre is the village of Dalekvam. Other villages in Vaksdal include Dalegarden, Flatkvål, Helle, Nesheim, Stamneshella, Stanghelle, and Vaksdal. The municipality is the 160th largest by area out of the 356 municipalities in Norway. Vaksdal is the 205th most populous municipality in Norway with a population of 3,867. The municipality's population density is and its population has decreased by 6.

Modalen

Modalen is a municipality in the Nordhordland district in the central part of Vestland county in Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Mo. The other main village in the municipality is Øvre Helland. Most of the residents of Modalen live in the main Modalen valley which extends eastwards from the end of the Romarheimsfjorden. The small population, combined with a large income from hydro-electric power production, has given the municipality the ability to give all its residents free wireless internet access in the municipality.

Lindås

Lindås était une kommune limitrophe de Bergen, dans le comté de Hordaland, en Norvège. Son centre administratif est Knarvik, situé dans la partie sud-est de la municipalité. Les autres zones habitées sont Lindås, Seim, Ostereidet, Alversund and Leknes. Elle fait partie du comté de Vestland et la commune d'Alver depuis le 1er janvier 2020. La municipalité a une des plus grosses raffineries de pétrole en Europe du Nord. La raffinerie de Mongstad est le plus gros employeur local. Des anciens campements vikings ont été retrouvés.

Hosanger

Hosanger is a former municipality in the old Hordaland county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 1964. The municipality was located in what is now parts of Alver Municipality and Osterøy Municipality in Vestland county. It originally covered all the lands on both sides of the Osterfjorden-Romarheimsfjorden from the Lonevågen fjord all the way east to the county border at the end of the Modalen valley. Hosanger also included an exclave on the Lindås peninsula surrounding the village of Seim at the southern end of the Lurefjorden.

Bergen (Norvège)

Bergen est la deuxième ville du pays avec . C'est également une ville portuaire, une ville universitaire et un évêché. La cité est divisée en huit bydeler (districts de la ville), équivalents administratifs de gros quartiers : Arna, Bergenhus, Fana, Fyllingsdalen, Laksevåg, Ytrebygda, Årstad et Åsane.

Voss

Voss herad est une municipalité et un district dans le comté de Vestland en Norvège. Son centre administratif Vossevangen est aussi une station de ski. Il se situe au bord du lac Vangsvatnet, à 100km au nord-est de Bergen. La commune de Voss a été créée en à partir du district traditionnel de Vossaveldet. La kommune de Voss a fusionné la municipalité rurale (herad) de Granvin pour former Voss herad le . Vossevangen Skulestadmoen Mønshaugen/Bjørgum Granvin La ligne de Bergen entre Bergen et Oslo traverse Voss.

Bruvik (municipality)

Bruvik is a former municipality in the old Hordaland county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1870 until its dissolution in 1964. At the time of its dissolution, the municipality covered on both sides of the Veafjorden, the innermost part of the Sørfjorden, including the southeastern part of the island of Osterøy. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Bruvik where Bruvik Church is located. The parish of Haus was established as a municipality on 1 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt law).

Radøy

Radøy is a former municipality in the Nordhordland district of the old Hordaland county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1964 until its dissolution in 2020 when it was merged into the new municipality of Alver in Vestland county. The municipality included almost all of the island of Radøy plus many small surrounding islands. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Manger. Other villages in the municipality included Askeland, Austmarka, Bøvågen, Haugland, Sæbø, and Sletta.
