Gouvernement fédéral de SomalieLe gouvernement fédéral de Somalie est le gouvernement de la Somalie reconnu par la communauté internationale depuis le 20 août 2012. Son siège est à Mogadiscio. Depuis la chute de Mohamed Siad Barre en 1991 lors de la guerre civile, la Somalie était morcelée et dirigée par des clans. Aucun gouvernement national n'est reconnu par la communauté internationale de 1997 à 2000. En 2000, le Gouvernement national de transition est créé et est remplacé par le Gouvernement fédéral de transition en 2004 qui sera chargé d'écrire la nouvelle constitution promulguée en 2012.

Dervish movement (Somali)The Dervish Movement (Dhaqdhaqaaqa Daraawiish) was a popular movement between 1896 and 1925, which was led by the Salihiyya Sufi Muslim poet and militant leader Mohammed Abdullah Hassan, also known as Sayyid Mohamed, who called for independence from the British and Italian colonies and the defeat of Ethiopian forces. The Dervish movement aimed to remove the British and Italian influence from the region and restore the "Sufi system of governance with Sufi education as its foundation", according to Mohamed-Rahis Hasan and Salada Robleh.

SamaaleSamaale, also spelled Samali or Samale (Samaale) is traditionally considered to be the oldest common forefather of several major Somali clans and their respective sub-clans. His name is the source of the ethnonym Somali. As the purported ancestor of most pastoralist clans living in the northern part of Somalia, Samaale lies at the basis of the largest and most widespread Somali lineage (the second largest lineage belonging to Samaale's brother Sab, the purported progenitor of most southern, cultivating clans).
GarreThe Garre (also Gurreh, Karre, or Binukaaf, Somali: Reer Garre, Arabic: بنو كاف, romanized: Banī kāf) are a prominent Somali clan that traces its lineage back to Samaale, who is believed to have originated from the Arabian Peninsula through Aqiil Abu Talib. The Garre clan is considered to be a sub-clan of the Digil-Rahanweynl clan family, which is part of the larger Rahanweyn clan. However, genealogically, they are descended from Gardheere Samaale. The Garre are also categorized as southern Hawiye as well.
Habr AwalThe Habr Awal, also contemporarily known as the Subeer Awal, and alternately romanized as the Zubeyr Awal (Habar Awal, هبر أول, Full Name: Zubeyr ibn Abd al-Raḥmān ibn ash-Shaykh Isḥāq ibn Aḥmad) is a major clan of the wider Isaaq clan family, and is further divided into eight sub-clans of whom the two largest and most prominent are the Sa'ad Musa and Issa Musa sub-clans. Its members form a part of the Habr Magaadle confederation. The Habr Awal traditionally consists of nomadic pastoralists, coastal people, merchants and farmers.
LeelkaseThe Leelkase or Lailkase or Lelkase (Laylkase, ليلكسة) (Hussein bin Abdirahman bin Is'mail bin Ibrahim al Jaberti) is a major subclan of the Tanade Darod clan. The term "Leelkase" is a nickname, which translates as "farsighted, mindful, smart or intelligent.
