Universal manhood suffrage
Universal manhood suffrage is a form of voting rights in which all adult male citizens within a political system are allowed to vote, regardless of income, property, religion, race, or any other qualification. It is sometimes summarized by the slogan, "one man, one vote". In 1789, Revolutionary France adopted the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen and, although short-lived, the National Convention was elected by all men in 1792. It was revoked by the Directory in 1795.
Self-governing colony
In the British Empire, a self-governing colony was a colony with an elected government in which elected rulers were able to make most decisions without referring to the colonial power with nominal control of the colony. This was in contrast to a Crown colony, in which the British Government ruled and legislated via an appointed Governor, with or without the assistance of an appointed Council. Most self-governing colonies had responsible government.

Il consista à réduire ou à supprimer de nombreuses restrictions, frappant les catholiques, introduites par l'Act of Uniformity, le Test Act, et les Lois pénales. La nécessité d'abjurer l'autorité spirituelle et temporelle du pape, ainsi que la transsubstantiation, avait accablé lourdement les catholiques.
Taxe d'habitation sur les résidences secondaires
La taxe d'habitation (TH) est un impôt s’appliquant en France à chaque personne (propriétaire ou locataire ou occupant à titre gratuit) disposant d’un bien immobilier. Elle est payée par la personne ayant la disposition ou la jouissance à titre privatif des locaux imposables au de l'année d'imposition. En 2023, la taxe d'habitation sur les résidences principales est définitivement supprimée pour tous les contribuables. La taxe d'habitation reste toutefois due pour les autres locaux, notamment les résidences secondaires et les locaux vacants.

A reform movement or reformism is a type of social movement that aims to bring a social or also a political system closer to the community's ideal. A reform movement is distinguished from more radical social movements such as revolutionary movements which reject those old ideals, in that the ideas are often grounded in liberalism, although they may be rooted in socialist (specifically, social democratic) or religious concepts.
