OromiaLa région d'Oromia (amharique : ኦሮሚያ ክልል; afaan oromo : Oromiyaa) est, depuis 1995, l'une des neuf régions administratives de l'Éthiopie. Une dixième région (Sidama) a été créée le 18 juin 2020 et une onzième (Éthiopie du Sud-Ouest) le 23 novembre 2021. D'une superficie de , son territoire s'étend de l'est au sud-ouest du pays. Il s’agit de la région administrative la plus étendue du pays, ainsi que la plus peuplée. L'Oromia inclut tout ou partie des anciennes provinces de Balé, Hararghe, Illubabor, Kaffa, Choa et Welega.
Jidwaq (clan)The Jidwaq (Jidwaaq, جيدواق) is a large Somali clan, part of one of the largest Somali clans families, the Absame Darod. Jidwaaq are well known for their conquests in Abyssinia during the 1500s they played a very prominent role in Adal Sultanate. They are famous for bringing the largest army and were very loyal to Imam Ahmed. Jidwaaq have produced notable generals such as Ahmed Girri Bin Hussein who was the right hand man of Ahmad ibn Ibrahim al-Ghazi The Jidwaq clan primarily inhabit the Somali Region of Ethiopia, (where they live in the Jigjiga area), the North Eastern Province of Kenya and the Jubaland region of southern Somalia (where they live south of Bu'ale).
DeshiisheDeshiishe (Dashiishe) is a Somali clan. It's part of the Darod Harti sub-clan. Primarily inhabit in Puntland, especially Bari, Karkaar and Sanaag regions. Clan members are also found in Kismanyo in southern Somalia. The clan is a founding and pioneering tribe of Bosaso and naturally based the area of the city, its environs and constituencies. Clan's head elder serves as nominal Ugas of Harti clans.
HararHarar (Ge'ez : ), parfois appelée Harar Jugol (« Jugol » désignant les murailles), est une ville située à l'est de l'Éthiopie. Elle est parfois qualifiée de quatrième ville sainte de l'islam. Depuis 2006, elle est classée au Patrimoine mondial de l'humanité par l'Unesco. Avant d'être conquise par l'Égypte, puis l'Éthiopie, elle fut au la capitale du royaume des Harari (1520-1568) et un important foyer culturel islamique, puis au le centre d'un émirat indépendant.
Harla peopleThe Harla, also known as Harala, Haralla are an ethnic group that once inhabited Somalia, Djibouti and Ethiopia. They spoke the now-extinct Harla language, which belonged to either the Cushitic or Semitic branches of the Afroasiatic family. The Harla are credited by the present-day inhabitants of parts of Somalia, Djibouti and Ethiopia with having constructed various historical sites. Although now mostly lying in ruins, these structures include stone necropoleis, store pits, mosques and houses.
Farah GaradThe Farah Garad or the Garad Farah (Faarax Garaad, محمد جراد, Full Name: ’Farah Shirshore Habarwa Abdullah Muse Said Saleh Abdi Mohamed Abdirahman bin Isma'il al-Jabarti ) is a Somali clan which is part of the Dhulbahante clan-family, a sub-division of the larger Harti/Darod clan. The Farah Garad are divided into two sub-clans — Yassin Garad and Abdalla Garad. Abdalla has four clan eponyms, Ahmed Garad, Mohamed Garad Baharsame, Guled Garad Barkad and Ali Garad.They are largely significant in Sool and Togdheer regions of Somaliland.
SheekhaalThe Sheekhaal (var. Sheikhaal (شيخال), also known as Fiqi Cumar but different from the fiqi cumar(qubeys surre), is a Somali clan part of the hawiye hiraab of the larger Hawiye. They are descendants of gorgaarte hawiye. They inhabit Somalia, Ethiopia, Djibouti and with considerable numbers also found in the Northern Frontier District (NFD) in Kenya. Sheekhal traces its ancestry to Sheikh Abadir Umar Ar-Rida, also known as Fiqi Umar, who in turn traced his lineage to the first caliph, Abu Bakr (Sayid Abubakar Al-Sadiq).
Haroun (Fadhiweyn)Haroun, également appelé Fadhiweyn, et translittéré nativement Xarunta en somali, était un gouvernement et le quartier général des derviches, dirigés par Faarax Sugulle. Le monarque Darawiish était Diiriye Guure, basé à Taleex. Selon Claude Edward Marjoribanks Dansey, le responsable politique du protectorat britannique de la côte somalienne était composé de 400 individus.
GarreThe Garre (also Gurreh, Karre, or Binukaaf, Somali: Reer Garre, Arabic: بنو كاف, romanized: Banī kāf) are a prominent Somali clan that traces its lineage back to Samaale, who is believed to have originated from the Arabian Peninsula through Aqiil Abu Talib. The Garre clan is considered to be a sub-clan of the Digil-Rahanweynl clan family, which is part of the larger Rahanweyn clan. However, genealogically, they are descended from Gardheere Samaale. The Garre are also categorized as southern Hawiye as well.
Baho NugaaledThe Baho Nugaaleed (Baho Nugaaleed, باهو نوغال), is a division of Somali clan that is part of the Dhulbahante clan-family. The primary homeland of these clans include the regions of Sool and Togdheer in Somaliland, the Lower Juba region in Somalia and the Dollo Zone in Ethiopia. The Bah Nugaaleed are composed of three major sub-groups in accordance with their locality in the SSCD regions. These groups are Qayaad, the Ugaasyo, the Reer Aymeed and Reer Oodeed (including Qayaad).
