Unakoti

Unakoti (unɔkoʈi), famously known as Angkor Wat of the North-East, is a sculptural emblem and ancient Shaivite place that hosts rock carvings figures and images of gods and goddesses. It is a place of worship with huge rock reliefs celebrating Shiva. Unakoti literally means "one less one crore" or "koti" in Hindi and Bengali. In the local Kokborok language, it is called Subrai Khung. It is yet to be recognized as a UNESCO world heritage site (put in tentative list in 2022) and the prime tourist spot of Unakoti District, in the Kailashahar Subdivision of the North-eastern Indian state of Tripura. In the name of Cambodia's Angkor Wat temple, Unakoti is called "Angkor Wat of the North-East" . These sculptures are carved on a hill of the Raghunandan hills of Tripura. It is known that there are about ninety-nine lakh ninety-nine thousand nine hundred and ninety-nine idols that can be found here. The images found at Unakoti are of two types: namely rock-carved figures and stone images. Among the rock-cut carvings, the central Shiva head and gigantic Ganesha figures deserve special mention. The central Shiva head known as Unakotiswara Kal Bhairava is about 30 feet high including an embroidered head-dress which itself is 10 feet high.

Dharmanagar
Dharmanagar or (Dhôrmônôgôr) is a town with a municipal council in the northeast of India. It is the administrative center for North Tripura district, located in the northernmost region of the state near the Assam border on the west and the India-Bangladesh border on the east. It is the second largest urban area in the state, which make it one of the important commercial centre. The Juri river flows through the town. Majority of the known history of Dharmanagar is derived from the ancient Rajmala scripts, which is the ancient Royal chronicles of the Kings of Tripura written in the 14th century.

According to 2022 census, Agartala is the second-most populous city in Northeast India with a population of about 5.7 lakh (0.57 million). It is India's third international internet gateway and being developed under the Smart Cities Mission .
Tripura
Le Tripura (ত্রিপুরা) est un État du Nord-Est de l'Inde, dont la capitale est Agartala. Troisième plus petit État de l'Inde, il s'étend sur et est bordé par le Bangladesh au nord, au sud et à l'ouest, et par les États indiens de l'Assam et du Mizoram à l'est. En 2011, l'État comptait , soit 0,3 % de la population indienne. Les communautés indigènes, appelées localement les Ādivāsī, constituent environ 30 % de la population du Tripura.
