The course introduces the students to the basic notions
of computer architecture and, in particular, to the
choices of the Instruction Set Architecture and to the
memory hierarchy of modern systems.
The course will cover the state-of-the-art techniques and principles for designing single node scalable systems software. The course will cover lectures, paper discussion, and a semester-long project
