Person–environment fit
Person–environment fit (P–E fit) is the degree to which individual and environmental characteristics match. Person characteristics may include an individual's biological or psychological needs, values, goals, abilities, or personality, while environmental characteristics could include intrinsic and extrinsic rewards, demands of a job or role, cultural values, or characteristics of other individuals and collectives in the person's social environment.
Employee morale
Employee morale or workspace morale is the morale of employees in workspace environment. It is proven to have a direct effect on productivity. Long used by the military as a "mission-critical" measure of the psychological readiness of troops, high morale has been shown to be a powerful driver of performance in all organizations. Extensive research demonstrates its benefits in productivity, profitability, customer satisfaction and worker health.
Neuroticisme
Le neuroticisme (ou névrosisme, névrotisme, neurotisme) est un trait de personnalité fondamental dans l'étude de la psychologie. Mis en évidence empiriquement dans le modèle des "Big Five" puis dans le modèle HEXACO (émotivité), il caractérise une tendance persistante à l'expérience des émotions négatives. Les individus possédant un haut degré de neuroticisme peuvent faire l'expérience d'émotions telles que l'anxiété, la colère, la culpabilité et la dépression.
Organizational commitment
In organizational behavior and industrial and organizational psychology, organizational commitment is an individual's psychological attachment to the organization. Organizational scientists have also developed many nuanced definitions of organizational commitment, and numerous scales to measure them. Exemplary of this work is Meyer and Allen's model of commitment, which was developed to integrate numerous definitions of commitment that had been proliferated in the literature.
Personnel psychology
Personnel psychology is a subfield of industrial and organizational psychology. Personnel psychology is the area of industrial/organizational psychology that primarily deals with the recruitment, selection and evaluation of personnel, and with other job aspects such as morale, job satisfaction, and relationships between managers and workers in the workplace.
Entretien d'évaluation
L'entretien d'évaluation est un entretien qui a pour but de fixer des objectifs à atteindre au personnel pour une période déterminée, et leur évaluation pour le passé, en fonction de l'ensemble des priorités, des connaissances, de l'expérience et des comportements et aptitudes. Il s'agit d'une explicitation fine des missions afin de déterminer les compétences nécessaires à leur exercice et les actions de formations destinées à acquérir et à améliorer ces compétences.
Emploi
Un emploi, en économie, consiste à utiliser des personnes actives de la population à des activités économiques. Il s'agit souvent d'un contrat passé entre deux parties, l’employeur et le salarié, pour la réalisation d’un travail contre une rémunération, par l’exercice d'une profession, ou bien pour un travailleur indépendant, la réalisation de multiples contrats implicites ou explicites dans le cadre de l’exercice d’une profession. Une personne bénévole n'occupe pas un emploi au sens strict du terme.
Employee engagement
Employee engagement is a fundamental concept in the effort to understand and describe, both qualitatively and quantitatively, the nature of the relationship between an organization and its employees. An "engaged employee" is defined as one who is fully absorbed by and enthusiastic about their work and so takes positive action to further the organization's reputation and interests. An engaged employee has a positive attitude towards the organization and its values.
Organisation climate
Organizational climate (sometimes known as corporate climate) is a concept that has academic meaning in the fields of organizational behavior and I/O psychology as well as practical meaning in the business world There is continued scholarly debate about the exact definition of organizational climate for the purposes of scientific study. The definition developed by Lawrence R. James (1943-2014) and his colleagues makes a distinction between psychological and organizational climate.
Psychopathy in the workplace
While psychopaths typically represent a very small percentage of workplace staff, the presence of psychopathy in the workplace, especially within senior management, can do enormous damage. Indeed, psychopaths are usually most present at higher levels of corporate structure, and their actions often cause a ripple effect throughout an organization, setting the tone for an entire corporate culture. Examples of detrimental effects include increased bullying, conflict, stress, staff turnover, absenteeism, and reduction in both productivity and social responsibility.
