Begum Hazrat MahalBegum Hazrat Mahal (بیگم حضرت محل), née vers 1820 et morte le , également appelée Bégum d'Awadh, est la deuxième épouse de Nawab . Elle règne sur l'Awadh et Lucknow (Inde) durant l'exil de son mari. Hazrat Mahal, de son vrai nom Muhammadi, naît à Faizabad, dans l'État d'Awadh. Vendue par ses parents à une maison close, elle y travaille comme courtisane, mais elle est bientôt engagée dans le harem royal en tant que khawasin (suivante).
