District de BemetaraBemetara district is a new district in the state of Chhattisgarh, India. The district was formally inaugurated by the Chief Minister, Raman Singh, on 13 January 2012. Shruti Singh, IAS became the first district collector. Bemetara has two administrative subdivisions, Bemetara and Saja. The present collector of Bemetara is Vilas Sandeepan Bhoskar, IAS. The district has a population of 795,759, of which 74,567 (9.37%) live in urban areas. Bemetara district has a sex ratio of 1001 females per 1000 males and a literacy rate of 70.

Dhamtari district was officially formed on 6 July 1998 by trifurcating Raipur district into Raipur, Dhamtari and Mahasamund districts. The present collector of Dhamtari is Shri Rajat Bansal. The present mayor of Dhamtari is Shri Vijay Dewangan. Dhamtari derives from dhamma tarai, literally plain of Dhamma. The name is a hint at the area's Buddhist roots.

Nala dynastyThe Nalas were an Indian dynasty that ruled parts of present-day Chhattisgarh and Odisha during the 6th century CE. Their core territory included the areas around Bastar and Koraput districts. Their capital was probably Pushkari (IAST: Puṣkarī), identified with the modern Garhdhanora in Bastar district. At one point, they seem to have conquered the Vakataka capital Nandivardhana in the Vidarbha region, but suffered reverses against the Vakatakas as well as the Chalukyas.

MahasamundMahasamund is a city in Mahasamund District in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh.It is situated on the Mumbai-Kolkata and Raipur-Vishakhaptnam National Highways. It is one of the largest (ranked 13th) and most important cities in the State. The city is divided into 30 wards and 5 zones and is also the biggest city in the Trans-Mahanadi area. It is also the administrative headquarters of the Mahasamund District and part of the proposed new Mahasamund Municipal Corporation. The current mayor is Prakash Chandrakar.
District de GariabandGariaband District is one of the 33 districts of Chhattisgarh. It has its headquarters at Gariaband town. The district was carved out of Raipur district in 2012. The earliest history of the district is associated with Rajim. At the Rajiv Lochan temple, a 7th century inscription records the king as Vilasatunga, most likely from the Nala dynasty. The region was controlled by a variety of powers, including the Mauryas and Guptas. The Kalachuris, who conquered the territory in the 10th century CE continued to rule there until Maratha invasions in 1742.
