Palwal district was created on 15 August 2008. It is the 21st district of Haryana state in northern India. Palwal City is the headquarters of the district. It is part of the Braj region. The city is situated from Delhi, from Faridabad and from Gurugram on the Delhi-Agra national highway. The area of the city is . According to legend, the city of Palwal is named for the demon Palwalasur who was said to have ruled during the reign of Pandavas.

Meo (ethnic group)
Meo (pronounced: may-o or mev), is an ethnic group of the Mewat region from north-western India, particularly from the Nuh district (previously Mewat district) in Haryana and parts of adjacent Alwar and Bharatpur districts in Rajasthan. They speak Mewati, a language of the Indo-Aryan language family, although in some areas the language dominance of Urdu and Hindi has seen Meos adopt these languages instead.
Alwar
Alwar (prononciation : [əlʋəɾ]) est une ville du district d'Alwar, dans l'État du Rajasthan, en Inde. Elle se situe à 150 km au sud de Delhi et à 150 km de Jaipur.
