Nicolai CramerNicolai Cramer est né à Stuttgart, en Allemagne ; il a étudié la chimie à l'université de Stuttgart, où il a obtenu son diplôme en 2003, et son doctorat en 2005 sous la direction du professeur Sabine Laschat. Après un stage de recherche à l'université d'Osaka, au Japon, en 2006 il a rejoint le groupe du professeur Barry M. Trost à l'université de Stanford en tant que postdoc. A partir de 2007, il a travaillé sur son habilitation à l'ETH Zurich sous la direction du Professeur Erick M. Carreira et a reçu la venia legendi en 2010. En 2010, il a été nommé comme professeur assistant à l'EPF de Lausanne et a été promu professeur associé en 2013 et professeur ordinaire en 2015. Kay SeverinKay Severin was born in Germany in 1967. He obtained his Ph.D. in 1995 with a thesis in the group of Prof. W. Beck, University of Munich. Subsequently, he joined the group of Prof. M. R. Ghadiri as a postdoctoral fellow. In 1997, he started independent research projects ("Habilitation") at the Department of Chemistry, University of Munich. In 2001, he became assistant professor at the Institute of Chemical Sciences and Engineering at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Lausanne (EPFL). Since 2009, he is full professor at the same institute.

César PulgarinProf. C. Pulgarin is Chemist from Lausanne University, Master in environmental chemistry from Geneva University, Ph D in synthesis bio-inspired of natural substances from Neuchâtel University. During his education he carried out several industrial trainings.
Since March 1989, he has been working at the EPFL where he is leader of the Advanced Oxidation Processes Group (GPAO) active in the development chemical, photochemical, electrochemical, ultrasonic processes, their coupling between them and with biological systems to degrade chemical and microbiological pollutants in water and air. He has an H index of 40 and he is the world most cited author in 1) TiO2 photo-assisted bacterial inactivation in water and 2) Coupling of photochemical and biological processes for pollutant degradation. He has been involved in ten African, South American and European international research projects. He has been Swiss representative in COST program 540.
