Teaching assistant
A teaching assistant or teacher's aide (TA) or education assistant (EA) or team teacher (TT) is an individual who assists a teacher with instructional responsibilities. TAs include graduate teaching assistants (GTAs), who are graduate students; undergraduate teaching assistants (UTAs), who are undergraduate students; secondary school TAs, who are either high school students or adults; and elementary school TAs, who are adults (also known as paraprofessional educators or teacher's aides).
Tutoring
Tutoring is private academic support, usually provided by an expert teacher; someone with deep knowledge or defined expertise in a particular subject or set of subjects. A tutor, formally also called an academic tutor, is a person who provides assistance or tutelage to one or more people on certain subject areas or skills. The tutor spends a few hours on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis to transfer their expertise on the topic or skill to the student (also called a tutee). Tutoring can take place in different settings.
Tutorial system
The tutorial system is a method of university education where the main teaching method is regular, very small group sessions. These are the core teaching sessions of a degree, and are supplemented by lectures, practicals and larger group classes. This system is found at the collegiate universities of Oxford and Cambridge, although other universities use this method to various degrees. The tutorial system was established in the 1800s at the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom.
Enseignant
Un enseignant est une personne chargée de transmettre des connaissances ou méthodes de raisonnement à autrui dans le cadre d'une formation générale ou d'une formation spécifique à une matière, un domaine ou une discipline scolaire. Le terme « enseignant » désigne la personne qui enseigne aux élèves (en primaire et secondaire). Dans certains contextes, les enseignants peuvent également être appelés « professeurs ». En France, le corps des professeurs des écoles a remplacé celui des instituteurs dans le primaire.
Académie
Une Académie est une assemblée de gens de lettres, de savants ou d’artistes reconnus par leurs pairs. Ces dites assemblées ont pour mission de veiller aux règles, codes et usages dans leurs disciplines. Pour ce faire, les académies publient des ouvrages tels que des dictionnaires, des grammaires, etc. Ce qu'il y a de certain c'est que les écoles publiques ne sont pas l'invention de l'ère chrétienne.
