Eastbourne
Eastbourne est une ville britannique, importante station balnéaire du comté de Sussex de l'Est, sur la côte sud de l’Angleterre. Elle compte, en 2009, . Le secteur connaît une importante activité humaine depuis l’âge de la pierre et se composait de quatre hameaux jusqu’au quand ceux-ci fusionnèrent graduellement en une ville. Grâce à l’arrivée du chemin de fer, Eastbourne devint, grâce à William Cavendish, septième duc du Devonshire (1808-1891), une station balnéaire victorienne de première qualité.
Portslade
Portslade is an area in the unparished area of Portslade by Sea, in the Brighton and Hove district, in the ceremonial county of East Sussex, England. Portslade Village, the original settlement a mile inland to the north, was built up in the 16th century. The arrival of the railway from Brighton in 1840 encouraged rapid development of the coastal area and in 1896 the southern part, formerly known as Copperas Gap, was granted urban district status and renamed Portslade-by-Sea, making it distinct from Portslade Village.
Ovingdean
Ovingdean is a small, formerly agricultural village and former civil parish, now in the unparished area of Brighton and Hove, in the ceremonial county East Sussex, England. In 1921 the parish had a population of 476. On 1 April 1928 the parish was abolished and merged with Brighton. It has expanded through the growth of residential streets on its eastern and southern sides, and now has a population of about 1,200. Some of the current housing replaces earlier shacks of the type once found in neighbouring Woodingdean and Peacehaven, built after the First World War.

Borough de comté
Un county borough, traduit en français par borough de comté, est un terme introduit en 1889 au Royaume-Uni de Grande-Bretagne et d'Irlande (à l'exception de l'Écosse), pour désigner un borough ou une cité indépendante de l'administration d'un conseil de comté (county council). Les county boroughs ont été abolis par le Local Government Act 1972 en Angleterre et au pays de Galles, mais restent utilisés comme circonscription de lord-lieutenant et de sheriff en Irlande du Nord.
Whitehawk
Whitehawk is a suburb in the east of Brighton, England, south of Bevendean and north of Brighton Marina. The area is a large, modern housing estate built in a downland dry valley historically known as Whitehawk Bottom. The estate was originally developed by the local council between 1933 and 1937 and included nearly 1,200 residences. Subsequently, the Swanborough flats were built in 1967, and in the 1970s and 1980s much of the estate was rebuilt by altering the road layouts and increasing the number of houses.
Moulsecoomb
Moulsecoomb ('moʊlzku:m) is a suburb of Brighton, Sussex, England, on the northeast side around the A270 Lewes Road, between Coldean and Bevendean, north of the seafront. The eastern edge adjoins Falmer Hill on the South Downs. It is often divided into smaller sections on maps: North Moulsecoomb, East Moulsecoomb and South Moulsecoomb. The name is sometimes pronounced as if spelt Mools-coomb, though more often the first part is pronounced like the animal "mole". It derives from the Old English for Muls Valley: Mul was a Saxon nobleman.
Coldean
Coldean is a suburb of the English city of Brighton and Hove. Located in the northeast corner of the urban area, it was developed by Brighton Corporation in the 1950s as one of several postwar council estates necessitated by the acute housing shortage in the area after World War II. The estate occupies a deep valley on the historic boundary of Falmer and Stanmer parishes.
Hollingbury
Hollingbury is an area of the city of Brighton and Hove, East Sussex. The area sits high on a hillside across the north of the city, east of Patcham which lies in a valley to the west, Coldean in a valley to the east, and the A27 bypass forming the northern limit. To the south it blends into the leafy Surrenden area and the busy Fiveways local shopping area. Hollingbury Hill itself reaches an elevation of above sea level and on the summit is Hollingbury Castle Camp, an Iron Age hill fort dating from around the sixth century B.
Hangleton
Hangleton is a residential suburb and unparished area of Brighton and Hove, in the ceremonial county of East Sussex, England. The area was developed in the 1930s after it was incorporated into the borough of Hove, but has ancient origins: its parish church was founded in the 11th century and retains 12th-century fabric, and the medieval manor house is Hove's oldest secular building.
