TeessideTeesside (ˈtiːsaɪd) is a built-up area around the River Tees in North East England, split between County Durham and North Yorkshire. The area contains the towns of Middlesbrough, Stockton-on-Tees, Billingham, Redcar, Thornaby-on-Tees, and Ingleby Barwick. Teesside's economy was once dominated by heavy manufacturing until deindustrialisation in the latter half of the 20th Century, alongside chemical production which continues to contribute significantly to Teesside's economy.

It hosts a frequently changing variety of exhibitions, events, and educational programmes with no permanent exhibition. The idea to open a centre for contemporary arts in Gateshead was developed in the 1990s, which was a time of regeneration for the local area—the Sage and Gateshead Millennium Bridge was also being conceived of in this period.
BlaydonBlaydon is a town in the Metropolitan Borough of Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, England, and historically in County Durham. Blaydon, and neighbouring Winlaton, which Blaydon is now contiguous with, form the town of Blaydon-on-Tyne. The Blaydon/Winlaton ward had a population in 2011 was 13,896. Between 1894 and 1974, Blaydon was an urban district which extended inland from the Tyne along the River Derwent for ten miles (16 km), and included the mining communities of Chopwell and High Spen, the villages of Rowlands Gill, Blackhall Mill, Barlow, Winlaton Mill and Stella, as well as Blaydon and Winlaton.
FenhamFenham is an area of the west-end of Newcastle upon Tyne, England. It lies to the west of the city centre, and is bounded on the north and east by a large area of open land known as the Town Moor. To the south lies Benwell, West Denton lies to the west, Blakelaw and Cowgate to the north, and Arthur's Hill and Spital Tongues to the east. As of 2018, the area covers two wards of Newcastle: Wingrove Ward, and West Fenham Ward. Fenham grew up as a separate township from Newcastle, lying on the western outskirts of the city.

PontelandPonteland (pɒn'tiːlənd ) is a town and civil parish in Northumberland, England. It is north of Newcastle upon Tyne. The name means "island in the Pont", after the River Pont which flows from west to east and joins the River Blyth further downstream, before flowing into the North Sea. Built on marshland near St Mary's Church and the old bridge, most marshland has now been drained to make way for housing. In the industrial era, the settlement expanded with the development of Darras Hall.

CorbridgeCorbridge est un village du Northumberland, en Angleterre, situé à 26 kilomètres à l'ouest de Newcastle et à 6 kilomètres à l'est de Hexham. Le site est connu des romains sous les noms de Corstopitum ou Corie Lopocarium. Il s'agit de formes corrompues du nom original. Les formes correctes reconstruites par les universitaires donnent Coriosopitum, Corioritum ou Corsobetum. L'étude des tablettes de Vindolanda montre qu'il était connu localement sous le nom de Coria. Il s'agit vraisemblablement du nom local d'origine.
