Kozhikode (district)

Le district de Kozhikode est un des quatorze districts de l'État du Kerala en Inde. Il est situé au nord de l’État du Kerala sur la plaine de la côte ouest entre la mer des Laquedives et les Ghats occidentaux. Le district de Kozhikode entoure l'agglomération de Cochin, il est un des centres économiques de l’État. Son chef-lieu est la ville de Calicut. Au recensement de 2011 sa population est de habitants et elle est rurale à 32,85%. Les chutes de Thusharagiri et le barrage de Kuttiyadi sont situés dans le district de Calicut et sont gonflés par la mousson du sud ouest.

Pattambi

Pattambi is a town, taluk, and municipality in the Palakkad District of the state of Kerala, India. It is also the administrative headquarters of the Pattambi Taluk. Pattambi is located along the banks of Bharathappuzha river. A Mini Civil Station also functions here to provide government-related services. The town has made important cultural contributions. Pattambi was once the principal seat of Sanskrit learning and produced many eminent scholars and literary figures.

Pollachi

Pollachi is a town and a taluk headquarters in Coimbatore district, Tamil Nadu state, India. Located about to the south of Coimbatore, it is the second largest town in the district after Coimbatore. Pollachi is a popular marketplace for jaggery, vegetables and cattle. As of 2011, the town had a population of 90,180. Pollachi was known as Pozhil Vaitchi in Tamil which means "gifted with beauty" and later became Pollachi. It was also known as during the period of the Cholas.

Bhavani (rivière)

Bhavani ( பவானி) est un affluent de Kaveri en Inde. Avec ses de longueur, cette rivière est un des cours d'eau majeur du Tamil Nadu. Bhavani prend sa source des dépressions de Palghat (ou Palakkad en Tamoul) de l'État du Kerala voisin. Le Bhavani est alimenté essentiellement par la mousson du Sud-Ouest et accessoirement par la mousson du Nord-Est. Son cours traverse principalement le district d'Erode, 90 % de son eau est employé pour l'irrigation alimentant 6 millions de personnes.

Kadathanadu

Kadathanadu (Vatakara) was a former feudatory (of Kolathunad) city-state in present-day Kerala, on the Malabar Coast. The region is most known for being the area where the events of the Vadakkan Pattukal, a set of warrior ballads from Kerala, took place, and for being one of the heartlands of Kerala's native martial art, Kalarippayattu. Geographically, Kadathanadu is situated to the south of Thalassery and north of Koyilandy on the Malabar coast, beside the historical Kottakkal river.
