Lymphocyte T auxiliaireLes lymphocytes T auxiliaires (en anglais T helper, Th), parfois appelés lymphocytes T CD4+, sont un type original de lymphocytes T, non cytotoxiques, au centre de la réponse immunitaire adaptative (aussi appelé réponse immunitaire acquise). Ils prolifèrent seulement lorsqu'ils reconnaissent certains antigènes pathogènes présentés par une cellule présentatrice d'antigène. Ils activent une quantité d'autres types de cellules qui agiront de manière plus directe sur la réponse, d'où leur autre nom de « lymphocytes T auxiliaires ».

One of the first time-lapse microcinematographic films of cells ever made was made by Julius Ries, showing the fertilization and development of the sea urchin egg. Since then, several microscopy methods have been developed to study living cells in greater detail with less effort.
Bcl-2–associated X proteinApoptosis regulator BAX, also known as bcl-2-like protein 4, is a protein that in humans is encoded by the BAX gene. BAX is a member of the Bcl-2 gene family. BCL2 family members form hetero- or homodimers and act as anti- or pro-apoptotic regulators that are involved in a wide variety of cellular activities. This protein forms a heterodimer with BCL2, and functions as an apoptotic activator. This protein is reported to interact with, and increase the opening of, the mitochondrial voltage-dependent anion channel (VDAC), which leads to the loss in membrane potential and the release of cytochrome c.
CHEK2CHEK2 (Checkpoint kinase 2) is a tumor suppressor gene that encodes the protein CHK2, a serine-threonine kinase. CHK2 is involved in DNA repair, cell cycle arrest or apoptosis in response to DNA damage. Mutations to the CHEK2 gene have been linked to a wide range of cancers. The CHEK2 gene is located on the long (q) arm of chromosome 22 at position 12.1. Its location on chromosome 22 stretches from base pair 28,687,742 to base pair 28,741,904. The CHEK2 protein encoded by the CHEK2 gene is a serine threonine kinase.
ProgerinProgerin (UniProt# P02545-6) is a truncated version of the lamin A protein involved in the pathology of Hutchinson–Gilford progeria syndrome. Progerin is most often generated by a sporadic single point nucleotide polymorphism c.1824 C>T (GGC -> GGT, p.Gly608Gly) in the gene that codes for matured Lamin A. This mutation activates a cryptic splice site that induces a mutation in premature Lamin A with the deletion of a 50 amino acids group near the C-terminus.
