Résumé

In this contribution, we present how coherent supercontinuum generation in Si3N4 waveguides enabled by fiber laser pumping can be tailored to cover part of the mid-IR spectrum and the use of such sources in spectroscopy.

A fiber laser (or fibre laser in Commonwealth English) is a laser in which the active gain medium is an optical fiber doped with rare-earth elements such as erbium, ytterbium, neodymium, dysprosium, praseodymium, thulium and holmium. They are related to doped fiber amplifiers, which provide light amplification without lasing. Fiber nonlinearities, such as stimulated Raman scattering or four-wave mixing can also provide gain and thus serve as gain media for a fiber laser.

Spectroscopie infrarouge

Spectroscopie dans l'infrarouge proche

La spectroscopie dans l'infrarouge proche (ou dans le proche infrarouge, SPIR), souvent désignée par son sigle anglais NIRS (near-infrared spectroscopy), est une technique de mesure et d'analyse des spectres de réflexion dans la gamme de longueurs d'onde (l'infrarouge proche). Cette technique est largement utilisée dans les domaines de la chimie (polymères, pétrochimie, industrie pharmaceutique), de l’alimentation, de l’agriculture ainsi qu'en planétologie. À ces longueurs d’onde, les liaisons chimiques qui peuvent être analysées sont C-H, O-H et N-H.
