This lecture explores how architects can intervene in the territory, examining the reciprocal relationship between territory and architectural design. It delves into the influences of key figures like Ernesto Nathan Rogers, Giuseppe Samonà, and Martin Heidegger, as well as the Townscape movement. The lecture discusses the concept of modification in architecture, the territorial aspect of architectural projects, and strategies for deceleration in the current age of acceleration. It also touches on the Anthropocene era and presents case studies of architectural projects related to territoriality. Students are encouraged to analyze contemporary practices expanding on the discussed strategies.
