This lecture covers the strong duality theorem in linear programming, showing that if a problem has an optimal solution, so does its dual, with equal costs. It also explores complementary slackness and the interpretation of dual variables as prices. The economic interpretation of non-degenerate BFS and the stochastic problem scenarios are discussed, along with decision analysis and 2-stage stochastic programs.
