This lecture covers the concept of Laplace's force in magnetostatics, where a current-carrying wire placed in a magnetic field experiences a force. The force is perpendicular to both the current direction and the magnetic field. Through examples of parallel and opposite currents, the lecture demonstrates how the force affects the wires' behavior, either attracting or repelling them.
