Wall of Memories is part of the Cosmos Archeology exhibition, to be held in Spring 2022 at EPFL Pavilions, Lausanne. The installation aims at exploring the Claude Nicollier Video Archives, a collection of audiovisual content about the life and career of famous Swiss astronaut Claude Nicollier, digitized and curated by the Cultural Heritage and Innovation Center at EPFL. A virtual wall of these videos is built in Unity, with a space-like atmosphere, using the Linear Navigator to navigate it. It is a 4K touch screen mounted on a 12m rail xed to the wall, acting as a window through which visitors can explore this world of videos. The contemplative nature of the installation invites visitors to experience this audiovisual collection either by letting it pick content randomly, following the Linear Navigator to the corresponding year, or by actively selecting or touch a thumbnail that catches the visitor's eye. Rather than looking for a specic video or theme, visitors are encouraged to appreciate the whole collection and discover by chance content they can enjoy.
