Crystal Growth and Characterization Plateform

The Crystallogenesis and Characterization unit at EPFL, part of the Institute of Physics, operates a state-of-the-art Facility for Crystal Growth. The facility specializes in synthesizing crystalline materials ranging from nanostructures to macroscopic crystals using various techniques such as solvothermal treatment, Chemical Vapour Deposition, Chemical Vapour Transport, and more. The team collaborates with research groups within EPFL and internationally, with a focus on Materials Discovery in both polycrystalline and single crystal forms. Over the years, the facility has grown hundreds of crystals, leading to numerous publications and continuous expansion of its unique crystal collection.
