IRGC - Administration
CenterThe International Risk Governance Center (IRGC) at EPFL focused on multi-stakeholder risk governance and public policy related to emerging technologies. It provided generic recommendations for risk governance, with a particular emphasis on risks associated with emerging technologies such as space debris, climate engineering, nanotechnology, digitalization, and artificial intelligence. IRGC aimed to identify and analyze existing and emerging risks for industry and public authorities, while also making sense of scientific opportunities for societal benefit. The center acted as a neutral platform for dialogue on risks and opportunities, working collaboratively with the IRGC Foundation.
