The town is located in the suburbs of Lausanne. Jouxtens-Mézery consists of the two villages Jouxtens (525 m above sea level) and Mézery (555 m above sea level) on the slope above Renens. Neighboring municipalities of Jouxtens-Mézery are Romanel-sur-Lausanne, Prilly, Renens, Crissier and an exclave of Lausanne.
