This lecture covers the metabolism of fat and sugars into acetyl-CoA, the breakdown of carbohydrates, fats, and proteins into their components, the detailed study of glucose metabolism, and the ATP production from glucose through glycolysis, citric acid cycle, and oxidative phosphorylation, as well as the electron transport chain and ATP synthase structure and mechanism.
