This lecture discusses the challenges of the VUCA world - Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity - and the importance of skills like lifelong learning, cooperation, and digital skills in education. It also explores the concept of makerspaces in schools, emphasizing hands-on, interdisciplinary projects that make abstract computer science concepts tangible and promote various skills. The presentation highlights the benefits of maker-based teaching, such as softening lesson structures, fostering project-based learning, and the role of teachers as learning supporters. Additionally, it introduces the iMake-IT project, a free school-class workshop promoting creativity and innovation in education.
